TITLE: COOK/CASHIER - 3.5 Hours Per Day
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must be able to perform hard physical labor and work under pressure. 2. Must be positive toward the school and able to keep confidential information. 3. Will be expected to maintain a friendly and courteous relationship with students, faculty, other staff members, the public and members of the hot lunch staff. 4. Must be able to count money accurately. 5. Must be able to learn multiple jobs and perform said jobs independently after a 60- day period, including Meal Magic. 6. Must attend a food handler’s class biannually and maintain a current food handler’s card. 7. Must be willing to work additional hours when needed.
REPORTS TO: Food Service Director
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assist cooks with daily production of all foods, as well as accountability and storage of all leftover foods. 2. Assist with lunch service. 3. Assist with maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen and storage area. 4. Run Meal Magic debit/credit system, debit accounts with accuracy and be familiar with and implement borrowing procedures. 5. Maintain a clean and orderly personal appearance. 6. Attend two enrichment programs each year; receive 4-10 hours of education annually. 7. Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor or the superintendent of schools.
The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District.
