QUALIFICATIONS: 

1. Must be able to perform the physical duties as required by the job including but not limited to the ability to lift 80 pounds. 
2. Must be able to climb a ladder and use a lift. 
3. Must be able to get along with students, staff and public. 
4. Must be able to operate power machinery such as scrubbers, mowers, buffers, vacuums, etc. 
5. Must pass a physical examination and drug test given by an approved physician prior to starting work. 

REPORTS TO: Supervisor/Custodial - Maintenance 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties of the custodian will include but not be limited to: 

1. General cleaning and dusting. This will include: 
2. Floors 
3. Restrooms 
4. Classrooms 
5. Offices 
6. Vomit and blood clean up in all buildings 
7. Other areas 
8. Painting interior and exterior walls. 
9. Minor repairs of equipment including but not limited to locker repair, furniture repair, and water shut off. 
10. Refinishing floors. 
11. Set up and tear down for events. 
12. Outside work - yard: 
13. Mowing 
14. Trimming 
15. Lining fields 
16. Moving bleachers 
17. Planting shrubs 
18. Cleaning play areas 
19. Cleaning parking lots 
20. Snow removal. 
21. Other duties assigned by the supervisor. 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District.

This is a first shift position from 6:30 am - 3:00pm. Shift times are subject to change within contract guidelines.
